Director/Producer - Tony Ung

Tony Ung is a filmmaker with over 13 years of professional experience making documentaries and commercials. He is driven to tell stories about extraordinary people which has led him to document Olympic athletes, distinguished fashion designers, students in Guatemala, and the homeless in Los Angeles. He specializes in embedding himself with his subjects and creating intimate vignettes about their lives.

This project is dear to Ung whose childhood best friend was diagnosed with schizophrenia but was not fortunate enough to receive treatment before becoming incarcerated and deported. Ung hopes to use the medium of film to bring attention to schizophrenia in order to spread greater awareness and compassion.
